Points of View Artists are in 2 locations in June!

Collage and 3-D & Art on a Line

Points of View Art Gallery and Gallery Framing 18 Pleasant Street 12 Pleasant Street

“Funky Town”, by Debra Arter

Collage and 3-D: Work in three dimensions

– assemblage, 3-D photography, sculpture – complements the the designed patchwork artistry of more traditional two-dimensional collage.

Artist reception: Friday, June 8, from 5 to 8 pm.

Guest artist Debra Arter, a well-known artist from Damariscotta, ME, joins Points of View artists in this current exhibit. She sums up her approach to collage as follows: “Collage allows me to indulge in my passion for collecting and combines my interest in storytelling and texture in a visual form.”

In the Garret Gallery on the 3rd floor: Lucy’s Funky Fish & More

Lucy Banfield creates assemblages – most resembling whimsical fish – from found materials, especially old tools and driftwood. Each fish is embellished with items that range from shells, wires, buttons, and vintage jewelry to rusty nails, flattened bottle caps, and broken plastic pieces from car tail lights. Lucy will also be present at the artist reception.
