Shanna Underwood featured at the March 8th Round Top Coffee House

Come out to the Round Top Coffee House on March 8th for intelligent, worldly songs from Shanna Underwood, songs with powerful melodies and thoughtful lyrics. She will sing you stories and songs from eight countries, several loves, and the life of a true gypsy. The songs are her maps. For Shanna, each new place brings a new perspective and a little more depth to the singing.
Shanna wrote her first song in her teaching office in Kanchanburi, Thailand. She started singing for expats on the beaches of Thailand, and from then on made a commitment to combining her love of traveling the world with singing for people. She partners powerful Bonnie Raitt style vocals with a little twang thrown in. She’s inspired by the crafted songs and storytelling of Lucinda Williams and Gillian Welch.
After Thailand, Shanna moved back to her home state of Maine, but she still has a wandering heart and a meandering mind. She now divides her time between Maine, the Nashville music scene, and Mexico. She can’t stop traveling, but she can’t stop singing either. Come out to hear her rich, intelligent folksy songs written with three minor chords, the truth, and an ever-growing and changing perspective.
